What is category cashback?

A benefit of Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP memberships. You choose one category of subscriptions, such as AI and work or streaming, and every eligible service in it earns 10%, 20% or 30% cashback depending on your level. It comes on top of your everyday card cashback.

Luxe members get 10% up to $10 a month, Pinnacle members 20% up to $20 a month and VIP members 30% up to $30 a month. The monthly limit is shared by every service in your category.

Is this a discount on my subscription?

No. You pay the service its normal price with your ether.fi card, and you earn the cashback in your ether.fi account afterwards. The cashback terms cover how and when it is paid.

Can I change my category?

Yes, once each calendar month in the ether.fi app. Your monthly limit does not reset when you switch.

Do I still earn everyday cashback?

Yes. Eligible purchases you make with the card earn everyday cashback, including your subscriptions: 3% on up to $10K of monthly spend with Luxe, 3% on up to $50K of monthly spend with Pinnacle, 4% on up to $50K of monthly spend with VIP. Category cashback is extra.

A subscription or membership from one of the services listed on this page, paid with your ether.fi card. Apple and Google subscriptions such as iCloud+ and Google One count when your Apple or Google account is paid with the card. Other apps bought through the App Store or Google Play, or services bundled into another product, may not qualify. For memberships like Amazon Prime and Uber One, the membership fee is what counts. Extra usage billed on top of a plan does not count.
